How to build Minecraft Server to run on pcDuino3 and Acadia

Posted by: admin , March 2, 2015

Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters. As the game grew, players worked together to create wonderful and imaginative things.

In this post, we demonstrate how to build a minecraft server to target pcDuino3 and LinkSprite Acadia single board computers.

The server we are going to use is called spigot. Spigot can be found here.

In this tutorial, we use a mac computer to build the server. We download the BuildTools.jar file from here.

Then we can use java to build. Note that the java version should at least be 1.7.

After  a couple of minutes, we will have built a server.

We then rename the “spigot-1.8.jar” to “spigot.jar” and copy to  the pcDuino3 or Acadia.  We will cover this topic in another post.
