How to use battery level indication LED

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]In this post, we will look at a special type of segment LED that can be used to indicate the battery level.

This LED has 8 number of pins:

The left two pins are used to control the outer frame.  Out of the other 6 pins,  5 inside segments share the same cathode, and 5 pins correspond to the anaode of each segment. Please use a current limit resistor to limit the current, otherwise, the LED will be damaged.

All segments are of a color of red.

The following are the tests we did (with a current of 30mA):
