How to use distance indicator LED

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]In this tutorial, we will look at a special type of segment LED, which can be used to indicate the distance.

There are 8 pins of this segment LED:

There are 7 segments on this LED.  All 7 segments share the same anode. The other 7 pins correspond to the cathode of each segment.   Please use a current limit resistor to limit the current, otherwise, the LED will be damaged.

 

The following are the tests we did (the current is 30mA):
