this robot is based in Star Wars’s robot BB8, but whit the help of temperature sensor we can get the temperature of any place that you can take the robot in. this robot works with an arduino mega with some addons and an application made with android studio.
The materials:
- wood (mdf)
- Arduino Mega
- 9V Battery
- 1.5V battery *4
- H-bridge Shield
- jumpers
- Bluetooth HC-06
- Temperature sensor DHT-11
- motor dc 3V *2
- Wheel *2
- Acrylic ball
- plastic ropes
At the beginning we thought to do the robot with polystyrene ball, but then we use an acrylic ball. another thing that we don’t use anymore are some deodorants roll-on because our base don’t have enough space.
Step 1: Step 1: Robot base
The first thing to do is make a draw in the mdf that will be your base, you have to measure the diameter of your ball and then paint it. you have to make some notches because are the space for the wheel. when we already cut the wood we make some holes to the mdf so we can pass some plastic rope and tie the motors to the base, and some other holes to put the arduino and a stick that will be our base to the DHT-11.
Step 2: Step 2: conexions
The conexion is like we can see in the draw, the DHT-11 and HC-06 must be in parallel so the have the same voltage to work. the app unfortunately I lost all the information of my computer so I don’t have the code of the app, but there is the code of the arduino.
